On Friday, March 18th, 10 visiting physicians from the southern Chinese province of Hunan graduated from their 3 week clinical observership program at Tufts Medical Center in downtown Boston.
Under the oversight of Dr. Deeb M. Salem, the Chairman of Tufts University Medical Center and Department of Medicine and his experienced staff, the group of 10 physicians underwent an intensive program of clinical observations where they were paired with clinicians that were focused in respective medical fields.
These Chinese doctors are visiting from hospitals in the Changsha area, which is the capital of Hunan province. By coming to Boston, their goal was to become familiar with the latest state-of-the-art medical procedures and technology by way of shadowing their mentors. Their clinical areas of interest were focused in three categories of medicine: respirology, obstetrics and gynecology and neurology.
